Ghormeh Sabzi; a delicious and traditional Iranian food
To introduce more Iranian dishes, in this post, dorna is going to make you familiar with Ghormeh Sabzi
Ghormeh is a Turkish word used as an Iranian food (meaning stew) and Sabzi meaning herbs, so Ghormeh Sabzi is a stew with herbs.
This food is very popular between Iranian people (some of the people in Iran eat it at least once a week)
Ingredients
Three dry limes
Boneless lamb meat or boneless beef roast (330 grams, cut into 3/4 inch)
A large onion
Liquid oil
Red bean (200 grams)
Vegetables(spinach, leek, coriander, and parsley) chopped and boiled(400 grams)
Salt, black pepper, and turmeric
Water(2 pitchers)
How to Cook?
Make the beans wet. Chop up the onion and roast it with oil and turmeric. When the color of them turned into gold, add peppers with meats and boil it for some minutes.
When the meats boiled, add 2 pitchers water and turn the stove high and let the water boil. Then turn it to the medium.
After 1 hour, when meats and beans boiled, add vegetables and dry limes.
After 1.5 hour, your stew is ready (signs: with a little water and oil on your stew).
