Shishandaz; Food for Chaharshanbe Suri

Shishandaz is an ethnic food of Zanjan province that people cook every year in Chaharshanbe Suri eve. Keep reading so that myDorna makes you familiar with Shishandaz.

Ingredients

Oil (1/2 cup)

Walnut (one cup)

Sixteen dates

Raisin (one cup)

Four eggs

A big onion

Grape molasses (one cup)

How to Cook?

Chop the onion like cube and roast them completely with oil in a pan on stove with low temperature. Add crushed walnuts to the pan and roast them.

Crush dates and raisins. Then, add them to the pan. Break the eggs in a bowl and mix them by riling completely. Add eggs to the pan. When eggs cooked, add grape molasses to the pan. Now your food is ready. Decant it in a plate and decorate with raisins and walnuts.

Footnote: the last Wednesday of every solar year is called Chaharshanbe Suri in Iran.
