Naein grand mosque also known as Masjid Jame Naein is a historical, cultural and religious place near to Isfahan in Iran.
Isfahan is a city almost in center of Iran that has a great history behind itself and every year, lots of tourists from inside and outside of Iran travel to it.
Some Kilometers away from Isfahan , Naein is located. This city is dated back to the 9th century. In the heart of Naein, there is a mosque that local people name it Masjid Jame. This mosque was built in 11th century and because of its special architecture, it did not have any dome in its first years but later, different kings and different dynasties added some part to it.
For instance, about one hundred years ago, octagon minarets were made.
Naeini people believe that the base of this mosque used to be of Zoroastrian who used to come and pray in the fire temple.
Additionally, they are on this belief that due to the climate of the city, previous generations used to store water in the ground as there are several tunnels for storing water and using is in summer and spring.
How to get there?
As mydorna said, the grand mosque of Naein is located in the central part of city, so you do not need to bother yourself finding this historical and religious place. All you have to do is that arriving in Naein and then asking local people to show the mosque.
