Weaving Silk in Kashan
Weaving silk is one of Iranian`s old arts. This craft is also common in other cities of Iran. Art of weaving silk is not known among the people expectedly; for example, if you look at the weavers in the stores of Kashan, they are mostly older than 70. Tourists can buy silk clothes as souvenirs for themselves. Weaving silk started from the period of Rashid-Addin-Fazlollah. There are different paints and shapes on the silk clothes and plates of Kashan city showing the old art of Kashan during different periods like Seljuq.
