Sar Gonjeshki is one of the ethnic foods of Tehran city. In some other cities of Iran, this food is cooked in other ways but in this post, we try to familiarize you with Tehran Sar Gonjeshki. Be with myDorna.

Ingredients

Minced meat(250 grams)

Two medium onions

Two medium potatoes

Savory and tarragon (a tablespoon)

Tomato paste (2 tablespoons)

Oil

Powder of pepper

Salt

Turmeric

How to Cook?

Chop one of the onions like cube and roast it with oil in a pot. When the color of onion changed to orange, add a teaspoon of turmeric with 2 tablespoons of tomato paste to the pot and roast them again. Add 4 cups of water to the pot and let them boil.

Attention: Don’t add water when the pot is hot.

Next, grate the other onion and knead it with salt, turmeric, savory, tarragon, minced meat and powder of pepper.

Create small meatballs and put them in the pot of tomato paste.

When you put all of them, remove potatoes skins with knife, chop them like cube and add them to the pot.

When potatoes cooked, your food is ready and you can eat it with bread and Sabzi Khordan.
