One of the Handicrafts of Tabriz city is carpet. This art was created before Safavid era and it is still one of the popular jobs in Tabriz. Materials of the carpets are usually wool and silk.

As we said, main materials of the carpets are wool and silk. Mostly, wools of the carpets are brought from Maku and they are neither bright nor dark. There are two rows of wools used in carpets of Tabriz.
