Mojen Village; A Village with Great Whether in Desert
Although 80% of Semnan Province is consisted of desert, there are some places in this province to where if you travel, you don’t feel that you are in desert and you will change your idea about.
Mojen village is one of these places even though located in a desert, it has a great weather. This village is also historical and it’s good for archaeologists.
About the Village
This village is located 35 kilometers away from Schahrud city and 5000 people are living in this it. This village reach to Golestan province from north and northwestern. It is placed near a historical city named Bastam and in the midst of a fairly large valley between two rivers, Peyhesar and Pishdeh.
About People of Village
People`s vocation of the village are animal husbandry, gardening, and farming. They sell cherries, apricots, wheat, potatoes and so on as agricultural products.
Architecture of the houses
Materials that are used in this houses are consisted of woods, clay and plaster of clay with straw.
Alleyways of the village are so meandrous. Villagers gave the name of Mojen to this place because of soaring trees that are like barrier to reaching the sunlight hardly.

There are different kinds of trees in this village and also trees with pharmaceutical features.
